Chinese Company Added as New Sponsor
CAPS Research is pleased to welcome China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation,
more commonly known as Sinopec Corp, as a sponsor company. A delegation of nine
executives visited CAPS Research and ISM at our joint headquarters in the Arizona
State University Research Park in Tempe, AZ. During their visit, the Sinopec team
participated in a signing ceremony with CAPS Research to formalize their sponsorship
commitment.
The two leaders of the delegation, Mr. Tang Yonghe, Deputy President of the Procurement
Division (from Beijing), and Mr. XiaoBo He, Vice President of Sinopec USA (from
Houston), expressed enthusiasm at the opportunity of utilizing our research and
benchmarking services, as well as participating in CAPS Research programs.
Sinopec is China's largest producer and supplier of refined oil products (including
gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel) and major petrochemical products (including synthetic
resin, synthetic fiber monomers and polymers, synthetic fiber, synthetic rubber,
chemical fertilizer, and petrochemical intermediates). It is also China's second
largest crude oil producer. With 2010 sales of $289 billion and over 370,000 employees,
Sinopec is an important player in the global business market.
Adding Sinopec as a CAPS Research sponsor represents another important step in our
efforts to strengthen our presence in China.
