Benchmarking reports that are unique to each industry sector being measured
Industry benchmarking is a continuous process that gives every company in a unique
industry sector an opportunity to compare their supply management business practices
to those of others within the same industry sector. Resulting differences become
targets for process improvement, more detailed benchmarking, or possibly topics
for more extensive primary research. CAPS Research is continuing to refine the benchmarking
process for industry-specific benchmarking and provide key metrics that can be measured
from one benchmarking cycle to another.
All of the CAPS Research industry benchmarking activities start with a meeting of
an Industry Advisory Committee that is comprised of senior managers from each industry
being measured. Each meeting lasts one and one-half days: The first day is for designing
the survey document; the second is for best practices sharing, open discussions
on topics of general interest, and reviewing the basic construction of the survey
document.
If you would like more information on any industry benchmarking reports, or if you
are interested in participating as a member of an Industry Advisory Committee, send
