Research Publications

CAPS Research publications are timely, relevant and focus on issues that are being addressed by supply management organizations around the globe. The reports and research findings that are available to the general public include focus studies, benchmarking reports, critical issues reports, and best practices articles. There are some exceptions wherein access to specific documents is restricted to sponsoring organizations.

  Benchmarking Reports

CAPS Research benchmarking is a continuous and systematic process for evaluating performance, and each individual benchmark serves as a standard to evaluate one's performance against the performance of others.

Detailed narrative reports are provided to CAPS Research sponsors as well as companies who subscribe to our benchmarking programs. Contact us at metrics@capsresearch.org if you would like more information on participating in any of our benchmarking programs.

  CPO Insights

CPO Insights is an email-based service for chief procurement officers (CPOs) of firms that are major corporate sponsors of CAPS Research.

A CPO sends a procurement-related question to CAPS Research. The question is then sent to the CPOs of all major corporate sponsors and CPOs who wish to respond reply with their answers/insights directly to CAPS Research. The responses are collected and the aggregated responses are distributed to all CPOs within 13 business days.

Only for CPOs of CAPS Research current major sponsors.

  Critical Issues Reports

Critical Issues Reports are the output of Critical Issues Partnership Events and include research and case studies on select procurement and supply topics. While event attendance is for sponsor companies and select invitees, all the Reports are available to the public, published in electronic format on the CAPS Research web site.

  Focus Studies

CAPS Research commissions subject-matter experts globally to address these issues, in a format that includes executive summaries, practical advice for strategies to adopt, case studies, and statistics to back up the conclusions. These 30-to-160-page reports contain a wealth of information for you to implement your next strategy.

  Practix

PRACTIX cases are based on interviews and data collected by CAPS Research at company locations. The cases are selected by CAPS Research based on preliminary information about successful practices and processes.
