Cost Benefits of Investment Recovery Programs
Investment Recovery Metric Report 2011
(TEMPE, Arizona) June 8, 2011 — CAPS Research in partnership with the Investment
Recovery Association has released its Investment Recovery Metric Report for 2011.
The Investment Recovery Association's membership promotes the recycling, redeployment,
and reselling of surplus assets to recover hundreds of millions of dollars annually.
This report provides organizational information and operational benchmarks as well
as a number of financial metrics related to the overall cost benefits of investment
recovery programs and best practice implementation. One key metric reported indicates
that for every dollar of investment recovery operating expense, $34 is returned
to the bottom line. The report also includes other benchmarks that relate information
about investment recovery services and processes, the effectiveness of program-related
tools and technologies, and investment recovery staffing. Fifty-six companies provided
data for this report.
