General Mills, Inc. Vice President Elected to CAPS Research Board of Trustees
(TEMPE, Arizona) August 24, 2009 — The CAPS Research Board of Trustees recently
elected a leading supply management professional from the Diversified Foods industry,
Timothy Coats, to serve as a Trustee. Coats is the Vice President of Worldwide Sourcing
for General Mills, Inc., and is the Chief Purchasing Officer responsible for the
areas of ingredients, commodities, packaging, indirect materials, services and operating
supplies, capital equipment, marketing services, as well as grain procurement and
merchandising activities.

grain procurement and merchandising activities. Before joining General Mills, Coats
was Senior Vice President of Operations for Pillsbury's $6 billion world-wide food
business.
