3M Company Vice President Elected to CAPS Research Board of Trustees

(TEMPE, Arizona) May 28, 2009 — The CAPS Research Board of Trustees recently elected a leading supply management professional from the Industrial Manufacturing Industry, Keith Weber, to serve as a Trustee. Weber is Vice President, Global Sourcing Operations for 3M Company.

With his strong leadership skills, Weber delivers high-value procurement services throughout the company. Weber directs global sourcing operations for all of 3M and additionally he is responsible for supporting Packaging Engineering.

Weber joined 3M in 1972 at its New Ulm, Minnesota, manufacturing plant. The majority of his career at 3M has been in manufacturing and engineering, including positions as Product Manager in 3M's Medical Division (1983); Plant Manager in the Hutchinson, Minnesota, Tape Plant (1987); European Manufacturing Manager for Health Care (1991); Manufacturing Director for the Stationery & Office Products Divisions (1995); 3M's International Manufacturing Director (2002); and Business Director for Promotional Markets (2004). In late 2004, he was appointed Vice President for Global Sourcing Operations and Package Engineering.
