Events: 2008 Best Practices Workshop Presentations
More than 70 supply executives from a variety of industries gathered for the Ninth
Annual Best Practices Workshop held October 5-7, 2008 in Scottsdale, Arizona. Interactive
Strategy Sessions on the topics of environmental sustainability, global sourcing
in inflationary times, and drawing innovation from the supply base allowed attendees
to dive deep into these areas, collaborating in small groups to determine strategy
steps and critical issues. Case study presentations from four supply executives
highlighted best practices in the areas of environmental sustainability, global
sourcing, cost reductions, and talent management. Nine presentations from the 2008
